Hagoromo Ootsutsuki (大筒木ハゴロモ, Ootsutsuki Hagoromo), known to the world at large as the Sage of the Six Paths (六道仙人, Rikudou Sennin), is a legendary figure credited with creating what would become ninjutsu and thus founded the shinobi world. He was the son of Princess Kaguya Ootsutsuki, and the first human born with chakra. He was also the jinchuuriki of the Ten-Tails, the Shinju, as well as the first known jinchuuriki at all. Although most in the modern ninja world have seen the Sage as a mythological figure, the occurence of certain recent events has essentially confirmed his existence.
